Tuesday, March 30, 2010: Pastor McGuirt will be preaching and the Senior Choir will be singing at the Community Lenten Service at Johnsonville United Methodist Church at 12 noon. A lunch will be served after the service. Pastor McGuirt's sermon will be "Barabbas or Christ?"

Holy Thursday April 1, 2010: Concert by the Senior Choir; guest artists include Chuch Herin, Cellist; Patsy Storz, Flutist, as well as extra singers. Please come to this high point in our church year, and invite a friend as well! This a deeply moving piece, on which the choir has been working for months.

April 4, 2010:  Easter Sunday

April 24, 2010: Florence District United Methodist Women will hold a retreat at Hemingway Campground, starting at 8:30 a.m. for check-in and refreshments. A program of conversation and witness will begin at 9 a.m. with lunch at noon and conclusion at 3 p.m. In keeping with the theme ReThink Church, we want to examine whether we are "Banking the Coals" or "Fanning the Flames" of Methodistm. Come dressed comfortably and with shoes fit for walking. The grounds at Hemingway Campground offer a great place to walk, pray, worship, and glory in God's beautiful creation. There will be time available for personal reflection and prayer. Registration is $10.00, which includes materials and luncheon, and which must be received by April 9. Registration forms are available at the church office or in the foyer.
